At Fundy Biosphere Region, we are always happy to hear about people exploring and enjoying the unique and spectacular landscapes that exist here, and we want to help even more people discover the wonders of the biosphere. That is why we are excited to launch the Amazing Places podcast series highlighting some of the best nature destinations in the region.

There are 50 Amazing Places, from coastlines and forests to rivers and estuaries. Chosen in consultation with the public, these places represent the best of the Fundy Biosphere Region. They are places of biodiversity, of grand vistas, of recreation, and of conservation. Each Amazing Place has a unique story and this podcast aims to share those stories with all visitors (and residents) of the region.

Each podcast episode highlights a couple of our Amazing Places, sharing the natural beauty and history that makes them special places in the biosphere. Listeners will learn about some of the region’s best forested trails, mudflats, waterfalls, look-out points, and many more ecologically important areas. Podcast episodes will feature not only well-known Amazing Places (like the iconic Hopewell Rocks), but will also highlight some spots off the beaten path, and even some hidden gems in the middle of the city.

If you ever wanted to know more about marshes, sea caves, and other Amazing Places, you can check out the podcast linked here on our portal, or on any platform where you normally listen. The podcast series starts October 14th, 2024, with 3 episodes releasing at once, followed by new episodes airing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for the next few weeks. We invite you to tune in to all 12 episodes and learn more about what the Amazing Places have in store for you.

Listen and learn about these extraordinary places, and then get out there and explore them yourself!
